High Patrol
Limited Edition Print | No. 658/850 | Signed by Sir Thomas Sopwith and Robert Taylor
Originally released in 1984, this historically significant Robert Taylor print captures a dramatic moment in First World War aviation history.
The artwork portrays Captain Roy Brown and fellow pilots of No. 209 Squadron, flying their Sopwith aircraft in pursuit of the legendary German flying ace Manfred von Richthofen, better known as the Red Baron.
One of the most celebrated figures in aviation history, the Red Baron became synonymous with the daring aerial combat of World War I. This remarkable print pays tribute to the pioneering pilots and aircraft of the era.
An especially important feature of this edition is its signature by Sir Thomas "Tommy" Sopwith, one of the great pioneers of British aviation and founder of the Sopwith Aviation Company, alongside artist Robert Taylor.
