Rorke's Drift - Keith Rocco

This dramatic limited-edition print by Keith Rocco captures the historic defense of Rorke’s Drift on January 22–23, 1879, during the Anglo-Zulu War.

A small British garrison, consisting of just over 100 soldiers, defended the mission station against repeated attacks by a much larger Zulu force. The extraordinary courage displayed during the defense resulted in 11 Victoria Crosses being awarded—the most ever awarded for a single action.
